Run Coaching

My aim is to help runners at all levels, through guided and supported training, to improve performance, avoid injury and work to achieving their goals – principles that relate to individuals at all levels, from running your first 5km to reaching for multi-day events.

Structured training sessions will be progressive and designed to enhance all components of your running fitness. Including but not limited to; goals for strength, power, flexibility and increasing aerobic capacity.

Whether your objective is to enhance your performance times, achieve personal bests, attain podium positions, or simply surpass your own goals, collaborating with a coach can effectively bridge the gap between theoretical training and practical application.

Strength and Endurance

Enhance your strength, improve your movement, boost your performance, and prevent injuries. Integrate structured strength training programs tailored specifically to your needs into your overall training program.

With a professional background in Strength and Conditioning you can be confident that programs are safe and progressive and written specifically for you. Whether you're a seasoned gym user or strength is completely new, you will be guided at every step with options to train at home if the gym is not for you.

Strength training is incorporated into your weekly training schedule in a way that allows you to balance your running sessions whilst getting adequate rest and recovery.

Strength training for Injury Prevention

Strength training is recommended for all runners with or without injury - the aim is to help runners achieve injury free running, through increases in strength, efficiency of movement and improved performance.

Designed to help you if you are struggling with an injury, hoping to return from injury or for those training and competing with that annoying niggle.

The aim is to help you to become faster, stronger and more flexible, and to help you build the muscular endurance required to perform better and remain injury free. There are many ways a well-constructed programme can add value to your training through injury prevention, improved economy, increased agility, endurance and strength or if you're out of action, through rehabilitation back to your sport.

Strength training also improves the technical skills involved in the movement patterns for your specific sport and enhances the specific strength qualities which underpin it. Research has demonstrated that not only does training improve performance; it also corrects areas where incorrect training may have been detrimental to performance gains.

How it works:
Packages and Training Plans

Whether you select a training plan or an extended package for ongoing training support, the training will be provided through Training Peaks at no additional cost, as it is included in your chosen plan.

As there is no one size fits all for training so we will start with a meeting via your chosen online video platform to work together to determine which approach best suits you and your budget. There is no charge for the 1st meeting so no obligation to choose your package in advance.

All aspects of training are designed to fit around your lifestyle and not the other way around. Training has to fit with the time and facilities you have to train.

Training will be scheduled in 4 week training blocks in which we will review your progress in every week 4 but we will maintain regular contact throughout and review more regularly if needed.

No sessions will be AI generated - all training programmes are written individually every time.
